Word, holy inspired, inerrant and the completed prophecy given to
mankind for the way of salvation life, liberty and the pursuit of life
to its fullest. Based on the example of the early New Testament church,
Butte Bible Fellowship is governed by a Board of Elders, of which the

a minimum of 10% of each year's budget toward the goal of
spreading the gospel locally, nationally and internationally,

Senior Pastor : Glenn CheneySensing a call to the ministry in his early thirties, Glenn enrolled in a 4 year course of ministerial study and became ordained in 1979. He then served as Pastor in Granite Bay, California. In 1980 he took a church in Cedonia, Washington for 12 years followed by a church in Spokane, Washington. Pastor Glenn & his wife Nadine returned to California where he was pastor of a church in Chester, California until he retired in 2004. Moving to Chico he and his wife became "empty nesters", devoting large amounts of their time in the service of people and their church. Following a pastorial vacancy, Glenn graciously served as Interim Pastor and then was asked to fill the vacancy as the Pastor of Butte Bible Fellowship. Pastor Glenn's desire is to accurately teach God's Word and assist those in applying the Word to their own personal life. He invites all those who do not have a place of worship to come and learn to live an abundant life through the teaching of God's Word. You are invited to come and enjoy the friendship & love you'll immediately experience after walking through the front door. |
Church Webservant: Christopher "Jerry"
BrownleeA Christian since 1980, but getting a slow start on his walk wiith tthe Lord, Jerry is now quite enthusiastic about learning all he can from God's Word (the Bible) and serving the church whereever and whenever he can. He currently serves in both the capacity of webservant (Jesus is the master) and sound technician for choir practice and Sunday morning services. Jerry also assists as a computer consultant, troubleshooting church computer problems when needed. Jerry's family has lived in Chico since 1970, originally coming from the center of the Rocky Mountains in Montana. His Aunt introduced him to Butte Bible Fellowship, and since his family has always called him by his birth name and since he was introduced as such to the congregation, he has accepted the name within the church as well (Jerry changed his legal name to Christopher in 1988). |
